Identity first
Rider profiles at /u/<your name>. Multi-bike garages with photos, mods, build journals, and ownership stories. Privacy controls that let you scope your real name to public, local-state-only, or handle-only.
The vision
ThrottleGrid is being built for riders who want their profile, bikes, builds, and market context to live somewhere more durable than a feed and more useful than a message board.
Why this exists
Facebook groups burying your ride posts under ads. Reddit threads that vanish in 12 hours. KBB and NADA pricing tools that lump a Panigale V4 and a Goldwing into the same "motorcycle" bucket. Generic "motorcycle" platforms that don't know an R1 from an Africa Twin. None of these were built for the people who actually ride sportbikes — and none of them give riders a permanent identity.
ThrottleGrid is the platform we wanted to exist: rider profiles with real garages, market intelligence built on actual sportbike data, regional discovery for finding local riders, and a discussion space that doesn't get buried by an algorithm.
What's here
Rider profiles at /u/<your name>. Multi-bike garages with photos, mods, build journals, and ownership stories. Privacy controls that let you scope your real name to public, local-state-only, or handle-only.
Live dealer asking prices and Bring a Trailer auction sold comps for every modern sportbike. Median sold prices, trend direction over time, deal radar for below-market sales. The sportbike segment finally gets its own data.
Riding crews, track-day clubs, regional meetups. Each group gets its own banner, accent color, officer roles, discussion forum, media wall, and event planning with real RSVPs. Owner-controlled, no ads, 100% free.
State pages with local riders, local meetups, local listings. A site-wide discussion space (no subforum sprawl), a chronological activity feed, and a sportbike spec library that grows as the catalog does.
Who's building this
ThrottleGrid is being built by riders who ran the previous generation of sportbike community on the internet. The lessons of that era — what brought people back, what burned them out, what got drowned in spam — are wired into how this platform works now. No algorithm. No ads. Photos stored on the filesystem, not in a database. Privacy controls that mean something.
We're in the foundation phase right now. Profiles, garages, market data, groups, and discussion are live. Email-verified comments, direct messaging, and per-color spec photography are next.
Get on the grid
The first 20 riders to register get a permanent ★ Founder badge on their profile. After that the door's still open — just without the badge.
