Has anyone settled on gearing that improves drive without making highway rpm annoying? Interested in actual use, not theoretical top-speed math.

Maintenance before modifications.

    One tooth down in front was fun but too busy on my commute. Stock front with a modest rear change was the better compromise.

    Remember the speedometer and chain-length consequences. I replaced worn chain and sprockets as a matched set instead of testing ratios on old parts.

    Stock gearing works better as pace improves. I spent money on a track day and tires before changing it again.
