Battery tender all winter or periodic top-up?

Bike sits in an unheated garage for roughly three months. Battery is a normal AGM. Curious whether people leave a smart maintainer connected continuously or rotate it between vehicles.

A quality maintainer stays connected on mine. The important part is confirming it has a true maintenance mode and the lead cannot short against anything.

I rotate one tender monthly and have had good battery life, but I disconnect the negative terminal so there is no parasitic draw.

Cold is less damaging than sitting partially discharged. Whatever routine keeps it charged without cooking it is the right one.
