I want to improve confidence without immediately ordering cartridges and a shock. What measurements and adjustments should a street rider document first?

    Record every current click before touching anything. Then set sag with gear on and change one circuit at a time over the same familiar road.

    Smooth is fast enough.

    A reputable setup appointment is the best money I spent. The stock parts had more range than my random internet settings suggested.

    Tires, pressures, steering-head bearings, and fork height can all masquerade as a suspension problem. Baseline the whole chassis.
