Practicing emergency stops in a clean lot. Rear ABS is obvious, front is more subtle. Curious how different bikes communicate intervention and how often riders practice this.

Street miles, track lessons.

    On mine the lever pulses lightly and stopping force flattens out. Building pressure progressively makes the exercise far less dramatic.

    Smooth is fast enough.

    I practice at the start of the season and after tire changes. Knowing the sensation removes the instinct to release the lever in a real stop.

    Surface matters. Painted lines and dusty pavement trigger much earlier, which is a useful reminder to leave margin on the street.
