Not chasing dyno numbers. A lighter can and better tone are appealing, but I do not want cold-start issues or constant attention. Owners who went back to stock—why?

Street miles, track lessons.

I returned to stock because a pleasant ten-minute sound became tiring on a two-hour ride. Earplugs do not fix low-frequency drone.

    Smooth is fast enough.

A homologated slip-on with the insert still installed was the compromise for me. Less weight, slightly better tone, no fueling change.

Keep every stock part. Noise rules, resale, and track-day sound limits can all turn an expensive pipe into garage art.

    Ride your own pace.
