For Tucson riders, how early do you head up Mount Lemmon in midsummer and what temperature swing should a visitor plan gear for?

Street miles, track lessons.

    Weekday mornings have been the calmest in my experience. I still plan the route with a fuel buffer and assume shaded sections may be damp.

    Smooth is fast enough.
