What layers work for the temperature changes on a spring Peak to Peak ride? City forecast never seems to tell the whole story once elevation changes.

Street miles, track lessons.

    Weekday mornings have been the calmest in my experience. I still plan the route with a fuel buffer and assume shaded sections may be damp.

    Smooth is fast enough.

    Please keep the pace quiet near houses and gathering spots. The routes stay welcoming when a group rides through like guests.

    I would post the final route the morning of the ride after checking weather and official closure information. Conditions change faster than old forum posts.
