What tire pressure are you actually running on the street?

The owner's manual number is one thing, but I'm curious what people are using for normal spirited street miles. I am on modern hypersport tires, riding solo, and not trying to turn a public road into a time trial. Cold pressures and bike/tire details would help.

Ride your own pace.

I start from the tire manufacturer's street recommendation, not a paddock number. Track pressure advice gets repeated online without the part about tire warmers and pace.

    Street miles, track lessons.

For me the useful test is whether pressure rises predictably after a normal ride. If it barely moves or jumps a lot, I adjust in small steps and write it down.

A good gauge matters more than chasing a one-psi magic number. Mine was reading almost three pounds high compared with a calibrated shop gauge.

    Maintenance before modifications.
