I have the bike prep checklist handled and rented a spot in novice. What are the small paddock items people forget on day one? Looking for the things that make the day calmer, not a full race-team trailer.

A folding chair, more water than you think, sunscreen, painter's tape, and a cheap notebook. Writing one coaching point after each session kept my head from getting overloaded.

Street miles, track lessons.

Bring food you know your stomach likes. I packed heavy lunch food and learned that lesson between sessions three and four.

A torque wrench and the correct sockets for your axle are useful, but the best thing I brought was zero expectations about lap time.
