Heated grips warm palms but my fingertips still go numb. Bulky winter gloves make the controls vague. What has worked around 40°F without turning the bars into mittens?

Smooth is fast enough.

Heated glove liners under normal gauntlets gave me better feel than insulated winter gloves. Route the wiring so full steering lock stays free.

Hand guards are not pretty on every bike, but blocking wind lets the heated grips work much better.

A warm core helps hands. Adding a windproof layer under my jacket made more difference than buying thicker gloves.

    Street miles, track lessons.
