I know the debate: save bodywork in a parking-lot drop versus catching and causing more damage in a faster slide. Interested in experience with low-profile sliders and proper mounting points.

Mine paid for themselves in a zero-speed garage tip. I use short pucks from a kit that mounts to real engine points, not the long universal style.

    Street miles, track lessons.

Case covers and axle sliders make more sense to me. Nothing guarantees a cheap outcome once a bike leaves pavement.

The installation design matters more than the brand sticker. I would avoid any kit that hangs a long slider from a small offset bracket.

    Maintenance before modifications.
